Our Mission
RJED exists to help organizations replace punitive responses to conflict with restorative ones. We believe that when people in schools, workplaces, justice systems, and communities are given practical tools for dialogue, accountability, and repair, the result is safer environments and stronger relationships — not just fewer incidents.
Our work sits at the intersection of education and practice. We don’t just teach concepts; we equip people to use them the next day.
Our Approach
Every program we deliver is grounded in three commitments:
- Trauma-informed. We recognize that conflict often has roots in unaddressed harm, and we train accordingly — with care for the people in the room, not just the techniques being taught.
- Practical, not theoretical. Participants leave with skills they can use immediately: how to facilitate a difficult conversation, how to de-escalate a tense moment, how to hold a restorative circle.
- Adaptable across contexts. The same underlying principles serve a middle school, a corporate HR team, and a justice agency — we tailor delivery to the setting without diluting the substance.
Our Story
RJED was founded to bring practical, trauma-informed conflict resolution tools to organizations that needed them. Since then, we’ve worked with schools, workplaces, and community groups to build this same capacity.
